Drone Racing One are the new Phygital Drone Racing champions!

In a thrilling and close-fought final race, Drone Racing One have won Phygital Drone Racing presented by insurancemarket.ae and are the new phygital champions.

Of the 16 clubs who started the competition at the Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 powered by ADNOC, they were the last one standing, finishing 18 mins 18 secs, just 21 seconds ahead of runners-up Team BDS.

Team Heart of America finished in third place and Team Millenium came fourth.

Speaking after their astonishing win, Drone One Racing’s Kirill “VALPRIM” Loban told a packed stadium: “It feels pretty good. I just don’t have the words to explain it, because this experience is something incredible. I remember how I was introduced to drone racing in 2022, and my dream was to be here. And now, in 2025, I’ve won this competition. It’s crazy for me, this result.”

The race was a tense affair, with early errors from Team BDS giving the lead to Drone Racing One. At one point Team BDS dropped to last place before racing back into the lead. But in the final three laps they had to come in for a pit stop. Drone Racing One saw their advantage and went on to take the win and the title.

Earlier in the day, the last eight teams took part in the semi-finals, with the top two in each progressing to the big showdown. In the first match-up Tech Drone League, Team BDS, Drone Racing One and Team Raiden hit the track. Team BDS won in 18 mins and 31 secs, followed by Drone Racing One.

In the second semi, E7, Team Millenium, Rolf and Team Heart of America faced off against each other with Team Millenium finishing first with a time of 20 mins 33 seconds, followed closely by Team Heart of America just 5 seconds behind.
