The Games of the Future (GOTF) is a truly pioneering global sporting event that redefines what it means to compete in today’s digital age. At its heart, phygital is where athletes use both their physical ability with their digital skills, moving seamlessly between both esports and traditional sports competition.

What are the dates of the 2025 event?
The Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 commences on Thursday 18 December, with competitions and events running daily until Tuesday 23 December 2025.

Phygital sport is a dynamic fusion of physical athleticism and immersive digital gaming. It includes a variety of ground-breaking phygital disciplines. Each discipline sees athletes first compete in a digital version of their sport, then compete in the same sport in real life. Final results are determined by combining performance across both stages – blending the physical and virtual into one seamless competitive experience.
Is this the first time the Games have been held?
The inaugural event was held from February 21 to March 3, 2024, bringing together 2000 athletes from different countries to participate in the tournament.

How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online through
Ticketmaster or directly from box offices located at ADNEC.
How much are tickets?
Ticket prices vary depending on the type of pass and the event.*
Day Passes: AED50 for adults and AED25 for children.
Finals & Closing Day: AED50–AED100, depending on discipline and availability.
*Please note that some disciplines have age restrictions, so be sure to check before registering.
We also offer a range of discounts and special tickets, including:
- Reduced rates for students*
- Discounts for groups or families of four
- Special pricing for child carers*
- Free entry for People of Determination (POD) and seniors (these can only be claimed onsite).
*Attendees holding a Student or Carer ticket must present valid proof of eligibility upon entry.
Are all your events ticketed?
Most events within the ADNEC event Hall will require a purchased ticket – you can see ticket prices and how to purchase here.
VR-game.HADO Global Invitation and Phygital Dancing.Just Dance are free-to-attend events – see event schedule and location for these disciplines.
What happens during the events?
Each event is a mix of digital and physical elements, all conducted within their own tournament settings.
Please be aware that events may contain elements of theatrical and strobe lighting effects, haze and pyrotechnics. Please note the age restrictions for some events. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
I can’t attend in person – is there a way to watch?

Who are the competitors for the event?
Athletes and clubs from across the globe will compete in the Games of the Future 2025, including Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. A wide range of international and regional clubs have already confirmed their participation in the Games of the Future 2025, including PBC Astana, Thang Long Warriors, Intercosmics, CD Holcattes and Great Team Brazil. Phygital Football teams México Quetzales, CM Jardim, Greni Smith and La Crema will also return to Abu for the final showdown, following their success at the Phygital Contenders: Abu Dhabi – Football tournament earlier this year.
How do I get to ADNEC?
ADNEC is located only 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and is easily accessible by road from Al Ain and Dubai.

Is there parking available?
ADNEC has 6,000 parking spaces between our two onsite multistorey carparks, with an additional 700 parking spaces at the Marina parking location.

Can I buy food and drinks on site?
There will be food, coffee and drink available to purchase on site – check out the ADNEC website for vendors and opening times.
No food or beverages are allowed within the event halls, except water in plastic containers.
Can I meet the competitors?
There are no scheduled opportunities to meet our athletes – but many of the athletes will be in attendance at other events between competitions.

What facilities are available on site?
As well as café and food offerings, ADNEC has public & POD restrooms, prayer rooms, ATMs and power bank stations on site.
Please note there are no cloakrooms available – and some items are strictly prohibited at both ADNEC and GOTF event venues (see below).
What is prohibited at Games of the Future?
The following items are Prohibited Items at all venues of the Games of the Future, and you may be denied entry if carrying any of these (even with a purchased ticket):
- Weapons of any kind, sharp tools or scissors
- Flammable and pyrotechnic substances or articles (excluding matches and pocket lighters)
- Any objects and articles, where use may result in smoke or fire
- Aerosol cans or spray, mace or pepper sprays
- Balloons or any inflatable objects
- Musical instruments and noise makers including whistles
- Alcoholic substances of any kind
- Bulky objects exceeding 40cm x 40cm x 45cm
- Unauthorized drones or aerial/radio-operated equipment
- Animals, except for service animals
- Radio/broadcast equipment (except those officially authorized)
- Professional photography/videography equipment, tripods and additional equipment
- Lasers and laser pointers
- Country flags/banners, political propaganda banners and advertising materials of any kind
- Scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, push stand-up scooters
- Glass and metal containers
- No food & beverages (except water in plastic containers) can be taken into Event Halls
