How It Works

Teams

Each team has 4 MMA athletes of various weight classes.

Weight categories:

  • 61 kg (men);
  • 66 kg (men);
  • 70 kg (men);
  • 77 kg (men);
  • 84 kg (men);
  • 93+ kg (men).

Competition Format

There are 8 teams participating in the competition, each team includes 4 (four) athletes of various weight classes, where the organizers decide pairs of fighters, who fight against each other in both the digital and physical arenas – meaning each MMA athlete from the team competes against the same opponent from the opposing team.

Each match is played in two parts:

Digital Stage: In this stage, athletes will compete one-on-one in a console game. Players compete one-on-one using characters selected before the competition and approved in advance.

Athletes play one match of up to 5 rounds, with the match ending as soon as one of the athletes scores 3 match-points. Each round is tracked by an on-screen timer of 60 counts. A match point is given to the win or draw in the round.

Athletes earn 2 score-points for each round they win, with no points awarded for a lost round. Rounds can end in a draw, in which case each athlete gets 1 score-point. With up to three possible round victories, an athlete can earn a maximum of 6 score-points in the Digital Stage. All score-points earned by an athlete during this stage are added directly to their Team’s total match score.

Physical Stage: After the digital bout, the same pair of athletes meet again inside the octagon in a real MMA fight. Fights take place within established weight classes and consist of 3 rounds of 4 minutes each.

In the physical MMA stage, athletes earn points based on how they held the fight. The more decisive the win, the more points they get.

Winning early in accordance with the Technical Rules (such as knockout, opponent’s surrender, opponent’s disqualification, official stopping the fight, etc) = 7 points

For a victory on points by a unanimous decision of the referees = 6 points

For a victory on points by a split decision of the Referees or by a majority decision of the referees = 3 points

In case of a tie = each athlete gets 1 point

No Contest = An athlete gets 1 point for winning each of the rounds
